      The registration is hosted by YMCA and they have been having some trouble with the site. I just checked, and it appears to be working again.

      I will notify the YMCA that their registration link is not functioning and hope it returns soon. Be assured that if you can’t register than others cannot either.

      I spoke to the person at YMCA about 3 wks ago and she said they were behind and we should get something in a few weeks…   nothing yet…  she did confirm that I was on the list.

    I’ve gone camping in the Sierras and gotten altitude sickness a couple of times (no fun), so I am considering arriving in Denver (around 5,000 feet above sea level) one or two days early to “acclimate,” since Estes Park is about 8,100 feet.
    Wondering if anyone has any suggestions for where to stay (preferably near airport, since I won’t have a car). I’d be happy to share a hotel room with anyone else who wants to adjust to altitude or whatever.  ;)

    If you live in Denver, and want a guest, I would pay to stay with you.

    Although I am planning to take the bus from the airport to Estes Park, if anyone wants a passenger, I could do that, as long as our return plans are compatible as well.

I have booked a hotel room and would be happy to share.         Hello! I am sorry I have not checked back in a while. I apologize. I do have spots open! I plan to leave on 8/18 very early and slepp at a friends about 15 miles from the destination. I am not sure if that works for you. I would love the company. I plan to listen to books on CD and learn most of the way. Eating nuts, veggies and fruit instaed of stopping as I have found very litlle good veg food on this ride. There is one good place in Omaha but I am not usually willing to stop there. I am leaving tomorrow and will be back at the end of the week. Let me know if this sounds good.
        Yes I would want to ask you to chip in for gas.

        i booked the estes park shuttle.  roundtrip if you use the word SMILE is $76.  there is a shuttle at 1 and another at 4

    Brass Tacks: Have not received info packet. Will request on Monday. Any tips on ettiquette, dress etc? Tips on sharing dorm? Tips on meals (open minded but am not vegan)? Bring own cushion? Phone use expectations (gotta check in back home)? Anything you think would be helpful for first timers!

      Comfortable clothes, not fancy. Shoes that can easily be removed like sandals or backless shoes. Your own cushion is nice but I doubt everyone will bring. I can’t because I am flying.

      Usually evenings and nights are times of silence and also other times too. if you need to call and are using a cell, it is good to go off where you can’t be heard. I hope this helps.
