Mindfulness Retreat – The Miracle of Mindfulness
August 31 – September 5 | Blue Cliff Monastery
This English retreat, with the theme The Miracle of Mindfulness, will be led by Thich Nhat Hanh’s community of monks and nuns. The event provides an opportunity to learn the art of mindfulness, to deepen your mindfulness training, and to taste the joy and peace of practicing as a community.
The retreat is open to all, including beginners, those who have previously attended retreats, and families with children. The nuns, monks and staff members will lead a mindfulness practice program for teens (ages 13-17) and children (6 to 12 years old). Children under 6 are welcome to join the retreat under the care of their parent. Retreat Info Sheet.
We welcome the participation of people from all backgrounds, regardless of ethnic origin, race, cultural background, socio-economic class, age, gender, sexual orientation, or physical ability.
Retreat fees include all retreat programs, housing, meals and transportation for those housed off-site. Housing options include dormitory, camping, and hotel options. Special pricing available for students, teens, and children.

Join us for a talk entitled Mindfulness: Stop Waiting, Start Living by the senior monastics of Thich Nhat Hanh’s tradition. The evening’s program includes a guided meditation, chanting, a teaching on mindfulness and questions and answers.
